Baby Judson at 11 months

Judson has grown into a gentle giant of a baby. When he's crawling he looks small, all baby, but when you hoist him into your lap or watch him stand up you realize just how big he really is.
Something new since our last session is a full head of very fine hair, just barely there. Here's my artsy hair abstraction:

How much do I love this expression? Let me count the ways...

I think that I see boyhood budding in Judson through the way he inspects his toys to figure out how they work. Emy says he "drives" everything and its true, he likes to grab onto things and turn it like a wheel from side to side. This session was full of cars, planes, and other all-boy toys. Judson's car scooter cracked me up as he zipped around the kitchen. When he got hung up in a doorway he made a face that I instantly recognized as my own expression when I am stuck in traffic.

I can't believe Judson is almost a year old and we have only one session left to go. Here's a slideshow with my favorites from the day. If you would like to see all the photos from the session, click here.

Mel, you are magical. You neglected to mention that your "muse" screamed bloody murder for about 90% of the session. Yet he looks so angelic! Thanks so much.

p.s. I think his "stuck in traffic" expression may also be known as "pooping." :)
