Bragging Rights: Two talented clients and your summer reading list

Sam and I are always honored to be hired to do creative work for creative people: we have shot for fellow photographers as well as painters, designers, film makers and most recently, gifted writers. Two of our clients, Elizabeth Emerson Hancock (whom I know as Emy) and Bill Folman have both published works of fiction that hit the stands within a month of one another. I'm excited to know them both and to add their books to my summer reading list.

Bill's timely novel, The Scandal Plan or: How to Win the Presidency by Cheating on Your Wife looks like just the kind of comic relief I need to make it through the calamity of this year's upcoming election. Should the title give me pause as we prepare to shoot his wedding to Carin this August? Doubtful but I will give it a read just to make sure, it is fiction after all. The book was released in mid-May and has already received accolades from the Associated Press, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and USA Today. To find out more about the book, visit Bill's website.

Emy's memoir titled Trespassers Will Be Baptized: The Unordained Memoir of a Preacher's Daughter is being released TODAY and has already been well received. You may recognize Emy from sessions with her adorable son Judson or from a previous blog entry from our promo shoot. She and I have talked at length about the content of the book so I have been dying to get my hands on it for quite some time. To find out more, visit Emy's website.

Congratulations to both Bill and Emy on their accomplishments and be sure to add theirs books to your pool bag!
