Michele and Craig's Engagement Photos

Both Michele and Craig work in downtown DC so we met up with them at the National Mall to take their engagement pictures. It was a sunny, warm and beautiful day to stroll from the carousel to the Lincoln Memorial. Along the way we stopped at the World War II memorial which Craig actually had a hand in designing! How cool is that?
The Mall is a challenging place to shoot because of all the tourists and the endless conservation efforts around the monuments. Then again, tourists add a dash of context and humor to the resulting photos and the construction forces us to look at structures we have been familiar with our whole lives in a new and different way. I try and think of scenic obstacles as creativity vitamins.

This photo is so lovely but it makes me want to sneeze... The white dots are pollen falling! Thanks for braving your sinuses for this sequence of shots.

Congrats once again on your engagement: we're looking forward to the wedding in beautiful Irvington this summer! Here's a slideshow of our favorites and here's the full session.
