Christina & William's Engagement Portraits

Christina and William's engagement session brought us out to Lexington, Virginia where the couple met when Christina was studying at Washington & Lee while William was attending neighboring VMI. We took photos on both campuses, at the ice cream parlor and historic ruins where they strolled on their first date, and along the running path where they got to know each other (a great story, you'll have to ask them for details). Their wedding weekend will take place on both campuses, the Lee Chapel where they will be married in November is behind them in this picture:


I love looking through this session because the photos really tie their dating past to their wedded future. We had a lot of fun getting to know them both better and got a first rate tour of Lexington too! I can definitely be talked into shooting in an ice cream parlor any time, what a great excuse to have ice cream for lunch. We took C&W's recommendation and split a large oreo cream in a homemade waffle cone and it was amazingly delicious, you shouldn't leave Lexington without making a stop at Sweet Things.
