Ashley & Lawrence's Wedding on Saturday, April 26th
Ashley and Lawrence's wedding was held at the First Presbyterian Church on Cary Street with a reception to follow at the Country Club of Virginia's James River Course. Despite the palette of spring color put before us: the pinks and greens of the wedding party, the fresh green grass, the blue sky, etc., we found ourselves favoring black and white for its power to distill a moment to its essence. Ashley and Lawrence are so fun and full of life, you can see who they are right through the pictures.
It was a very relaxed event once we headed to the country club. A random neighborhood dog crashed the party and no one seemed to mind, he got lots of ear rubs, scraps and someone even brought him a bowl of water. Everyone was welcome.
The details were bright, preppy and fun. A trolley loaded with refreshments took the wedding party to the reception.
Ashley and Lawrence made their exit just as a storm was about to break. I had to put this sequence together, can't you just feel love?
