Baby Alannah at 6 months

The word "sprout" comes to mind when I think of little Alannah: maybe its her sprout of a ponytail, maybe its how much she has grown since our last session, or maybe it just jives with all the spring activity among the gardens of Maymont, where her photos were taken.

The six month session is always fun because the baby is finally interacting with me and the camera. I have learned to act fast when I see this through the lens:

I am always sure to bring lens wipes just in case I don't act fast enough!

Alannah is sitting up and likes to play, I got some great smiles out of her this time...

I got this photo right before nap time. A future in drama, perhaps?

But mom always makes it better.

My favorite shots were taken during a brief nap underneath a cherry blossom tree. So dreamy...

Here's a slideshow with more of my favs and if you would like to be notified when the session is ready for viewing, click here. Alannah keeps getting progressively cuter so I can't wait until our 9 month session!
