Erin's Maternity Portraits
We're very excited for Erin and Eddy who are expecting a baby girl in mid-October... I am especially excited because I get to document Baby Simmon's first year! Erin wanted some photos of her pregnancy so I joined her at their home to take some photos in the nursery they have prepared for her arrival.
Erin wore one of Eddy's shirts for the shoot and I love how her hands get lost in the cuffs. Its obviously not Erin's shirt since its way too big so Eddy's presence is subtley suggested.
I was drawn to one particular nook of the nursery that fits a tiny bassinette perfectly. The light that comes through and the angles of the walls are fun to play with.
Eddy's girls, Maddie and Ella, were a little shy about showing their anticipation for the arrival of "Baby Peanut" as they call her for the camera but I can tell they are pretty excited. In the storyboard below, Eddy asked the girls to talk to Baby Peanut. By the way, Baby Peanut got her temporary nickname from the ultrasound - the girls thought she looked like a peanut at first.
